The DockDrop Story
What ultimately began in 2019 as two brothers frustrated with the hour-long inconvenience of hauling gas cans to the Forest Canyon Chevron in the middle of a perfect summer day, waiting for an available pump, then back home to just to then make multiple trips back and forth between the dock and the driveway to fill everything up, eventually turned into a conversation centered around why there wasn't a service that could lift that burden off our hands.
When that initial discussion took place, it was tough for us to imagine, two teenagers operating a business with not just random customers that relied on us, but our own neighbors as well. Fast forward 6 years later, our endless curiosity and drive to make an impact in our community finally got the best of us and thus, DockDrop was (officially) born.
For those who simply visit, Lake Tapps is the go-to place to enjoy the beautiful Washington summers, a place to escape the worries of work on Monday. But to us, Lake Tapps is at the core of each and every childhood memory that we can think of. From the adrenaline-fueled jumps off the Bankers Island bridge as kids on summer break, to the Turkey Bowl festivities on Tapps Island each Thanksgiving, or even watching Santa Claus wakeboard by on Christmas morning, being raised here was nothing short of a gift, and to say we're excited to be able to serve those within that same community would be an understatement.
